The 6th Annual Gathering of St. Mary's Alumni Chapter of Rochester was a nice occasion event with 65 people both alumni and friends the dinner and game show at Rochester Recreation Club of the Deaf last October 23rd, 2004. There were the fun interactive Millionaire and Family Feud Trivia Games with questions mostly about their old school history and other special editions played by Steven DeBottis'73. Colleen Pouliot and Danny Donolli'72 who were assisted Steven in organizing the game for six teams of five players each. John Dixon, Ritchie Fisher, Frank D'Ettorre, Frank Kimmes and Cheryl Stutzman were the 1st place team winner, they proudly received the Wal-Mart gift certificate of $25.00 each. See a group photo of team winner in SMSDACR website.    The 2nd place team players got the AppleBee Restaurant gift certificate and 3rd place team received the Buffalo Wild Wings Gift Certificates.   Also about ten more gift certificates were given away to the winners of the raffle drawings.

Charlene DeWindt '57 carried a bouquet of beautiful 12 red roses she was given by SMSD committee. See a photo of her and Rosemary Zuber'76 in SMSDACR's website. Charlene smilingly stood while Rosemary took a moment to wish her the birthday sing with sign langage in front of the audiences during the game intermission.   Galdly, Patty Tadak'61 of the former president of SMSD Alumni Association secretly informed me about her b-day because we did not know about her birthdate. It was her birthday on that event day.

Pam Rohring, President of SMSD Alumni Association gave us a short presentation about the first 1st Annual Homecoming held by SMSD last October16th. The SMSD's 1st Annual Homecoming was great last October 2004. There were many people attended at SMSD. Of course they did enjoy to watch the games. They met many their friends. Yes they need the committee for homecoming event on September 30th (Friday) and October 1st (Saturday). She will give you the list of activities soon. Check out SMSD's website at http://www.smsdk12.org for two upcoming events of Annual Dinner Gala and Homecoming Celebration planned for 2005. So watch for more details coming soon. Thanks to Kathy and the rest of SMSD committee who brought the bake goods and their time in support of our effort while everyone enjoyed eating the refreshment at this event moment. We, the committee members sincerely would like to thank those people for coming to help us celebrate the success of our SMSD fund raising. Their donations had already given $429.00 to the SMSD Alumni Fund. We also want to thanks Onalee Cooper of RSD Alumni heartly for her ongoing generosity contribution of funds for SMSD. Thanks for their continuing generous support.
